Lynne's PIns

Late one evening while preparing for an Illustration Fair, I began "doodle" painting cats wearing moustaches and berets on some wooden circles I had lying around, just for an experiment. Once they had dried I put on a few layers of Modpotch as a protective varnish and  glued some brooch pins onto back of them and added them to the collection of cards and prints I had to sell  the next day. To my surprise the little brooches  were quickly snapped up, so for the next Illustration fair I expanded the line to include, 1920's ladies, bears, foxes, owls, lions and tigers, elephants, pandas, penguins, bikes and even Christmas puddings. Using the existing branding I have for my business cards I designed some special ones to include figures of foxes, cats, penguins which I could attach the badges. Remembering my childhood school nick name of Linnie Pinnie, "Lynne's Pins" was born. I accept commissions and if  you have a particular idea I can paint a special personal design.
